A Clean Production Assessment (CPA) seeks to reduce waste by identifying opportunities for improving the manufacturing process, raw material substitutions, the recycle and reuse of waste materials, and finally, the treatment of waste stream to reduce the discharge of wastes into the environment. The assessment included evaluations of the companies, pulping and chemical recovery operations, paper productions, water use, chemical management, energy generation and consumption, environmental control system, and management programs.
The secondary objectives of the program are enhanced environmental awareness throughout the industry, improved operational productivity, and increased opportunities for recycling and reuse. The CPA examines the types and quantities of waste and how they are generated. After gathering data at the plant, the CPA team prepares recommendations on technical and managerial actions to reduce waste. These recommendatins fall into the following categories: prevention, recycling, and treatment. Pustaka ini tersedia di Perpustakaan DML (Dana Mitra Lingkungan), Telp: 021-7248884/5 (Bpk.Eko)
