REUSE (Resource and Energy United-cities of Saitama East): First Waste Incinerator Plant

This book explains about First Waste Incineration Plant construction project. In Japan. Generating 720 kW of electricity from a ton of rubbish, the First Waste Incineration Plant of the Saitamaken Tobu Waste Management Association is the largest thermal power plant in Japan fueled by community rubbish. The generated electricity is used for internal use and the remainder is sold to an electric utility company.
 
In addition to being a local amenities center, this plant is designed to supply heat to other public facilities in the surrounding area. Even the resulting ash is melted into a slag, which is used as fine aggregates for buiding and construction. In other words, this plant is designed to leave no waste unused for constructive use, and hope that this plant presents itself as a perfect model for other communities in Japan or elsewhere, looking for ways to put an end to their resource saving and environment protection issues.
