This document present the SCC policy and the discount and exemtions for certain categories of development. This document first explains the SCC policy and then describes all discounts which apply to the contributions. These include discounts resulting from community service obligations, temporary works and offsite connecting sewers. Exemtions to the contributions are then listed, including those applying to small developments, stage developments, developments in progress and developments which have previously paid a contribution.The principle of permitting discounts and exemtions is to ensure equity and fairness in the application of the Governments sewerege capital contribution policy and to ensure that the policy support other government initiatives and strategic objectives. Particular care has been taken to ensure that the contribution policy will be introduced in such a manner that existing approved development are not adversely affected.
