This comparison report is a summary of study of KAP BASELINE SURVEY of ENVIRONMENTAL, SANITATION, HYGIENE AND SAFE WATER IN EASTERN INDONESIA conducted by Institute for Economic and Social Research, Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia (LPEM-FEUI) in cooperation with Unicef. KAP Study tells us what people know about certain things, how they feel and also how they behave. The three topics that a KAP study measure are Knowledge, Attitude and Practice. The Knowledge possessed by a community refers to their understanding of any given topic, Environmental Sanitation, Hygiene and Safe Water in this case. Understanding the levels of Knowledge, Attitude and Practice will allow for a more efficient process of awareness creation as it will allow the program to be tailored more appropriately to the needs of the community. This survey is conducted in order to understand the knowledge, attitude and practices (KAP) of the community, school children and health service provider/local governments related to water, environmental sanitation and hygiene issues.
