The purpose of Country Profile is to share Indonesia’s experience in addressing pertaining issues in Housing and Urban Development, and humbly proposed Indonesia’s lessons learned amongst points to be discussed in APMCHUD’s Working Group Discussion. The country profile consists of five working group papers, with themes as follows: a) Community participation in planning and governance, b) Participatory slum upgrading, c) Delivery of MDG’s for water and sanitation, d) Financing sustainable housing and urban development, e) The role of community in addressing climate change. This document is also supplemented with Annex, entailing good practices in housing and urban development in selected cities in Indonesia.
